On-location Jewelry Workshop Activities are designed to bring a guided, hands-on creative healing experience directly to your group or event. These sessions combine structured instruction, supportive discussion, and personalized artistic expression, allowing participants to create meaningful jewelry pieces in a safe, encouraging environment.

Below you’ll find an overview of how the on-site workshops are structured, what activities are included, and how each experience is adapted to the needs, abilities, and goals of the host group.

Instructor and Student Introductions

Motivation and Overview of the process.

Molding the Scars

Participants ages 6 –10 can get paired up and help each other find a good spot on the body
to mold.
Older attendees often will do this in privacy, but can do this paired up as well.
During the 20 minute cure time, we will discuss the message we are trying to convey with the jewelry.

Older survivors can write an inscription on the back.

Demonstration: Making the Piece

Participants ages 6 -10:
- What is Metal Clay and how to work with it.
- Pressing Metal Clay into the molding, pressing and cutting with cookie style cutters.
- Discuss design options - pendant, cutter shapes and press mold options, and cords for hanging.
 

Demonstration for older attendees with the addition of more elaborate options:
- Inscriptions.
- Bracelet, pendant, and gems.
- Cut with knife or pin tool.

Basic Process:
- Make ball of clay or 4 cards thick
- Press with acrylic snake roller or fingers
- Press in Scar Mold.
- Use cutters to cut the clay.
- Collect extra clay and wrap it up tight.
- Let dry.
- Sand.
